Audio Adjustments

Front 25 to Rear 25 is displayed as the front/ rear speaker balance moves from front to rear.

#Front/Rear 0 is the proper setting when only two speakers are used.

3Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to adjust left/right speaker balance.

Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or right, the left/right speaker balance moves to- wards the left or right.

Left 25 to Right 25 is displayed as the left/

right speaker balance moves from left to right.

Using the time alignment

The time alignment lets you adjust the dis- tance between each speaker and the listening position.

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select TA Mode.

TA Mode appears in the display.

2Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to select the time alignment.

Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or right, time alignment is selected in the follow- ing order:

Initial (initial)—Custom (custom)—Auto TA (auto-time alignment)—OFF (off)

!Initial is the factory supplied time align- ment.

!Custom is an adjusted time alignment that you can create for yourself.

!Auto TA is the time alignment created by

auto TA and EQ. (Refer to Auto TA and EQ (auto-time alignment and auto-equalizing) on page 80.)

#Please set Auto TA appears. This indicates that you cannot select Auto TA if auto TA and EQ has not been carried out.

Adjusting the time alignment

You can adjust the distance between each speaker and the selected position.

!An adjusted time alignment is memorized in Custom.

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select TA Mode.

TA Mode appears in the display.

2Press MULTI-CONTROL to select a unit of distance.

Each press of MULTI-CONTROL selects the unit of distance in the following order:

cm (centimeter)—inch (inch)

3Use MULTI-CONTROL to select

Time Alignment.

Time Alignment appears in the display.

#Can't adjust TA. Set position FL/FR appears when neither Front Left nor Front Right is se- lected in the position selector mode (Position).

#When selecting OFF in TA Mode, you cannot switch to Time Alignment.

4Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to select the speaker to be adjusted.

Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or right, the speaker is selected in the following order:

1Front speaker left

2Front speaker right

3Rear speaker right

4Subwoofer right

5Subwoofer left

6Rear speaker left
