Audio Adjustments

3Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to select the desired setting.

Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or right, settings are selected in the following

order:

COMP 1—COMP 2—BMX 1—BMX 2

Adjusting loudness

Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-sound ranges at low volume.

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select Loudness.

Loudness appears in the display.

2Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn loudness

on.

ON appears in the display.

# To turn loudness off, press MULTI-CONTROL again.

Adjusting source levels

SLA (source level adjustment) lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent ra- dical changes in volume when switching be- tween sources.

!Settings are based on the FM tuner volume level, which remains unchanged.

1Compare the FM tuner volume level with the level of the source you wish to ad- just.

2Use MULTI-CONTROL to select SLA.

SLA appears in the display.

# When selecting the FM tuner as the source, you cannot switch to SLA.

Notes

!The AM tuner volume level can also be ad- justed with source level adjustments.

!The built-in CD player and the multi-CD player are set to the same source level adjustment volume automatically.

!External unit 1 and external unit 2 are set to

the same source level adjustment volume automatically.

Using auditory user interface

AUI (auditory user interface) lets you adjust the volume level of AUI sounds output when operating this unit. Depending on the opera- tions, different AUI sounds are output.

!No AUI sounds are output when the sources are off.

!No AUI sounds are output when the level is set to 0.

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select AUI sound level.

AUI sound level appears in the display.

2Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down to adjust AUI sound level.

Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or down, AUI sound level increases or decreases.

Level 0 to Level 12 is displayed as AUI sound level is increased or decreased.
