Setting the Sleep Timer

When a source is playing, use the Sleep Timer to turn the System off after a certain number of minutes. By setting the Sleep Timer, you can fall asleep to music and know that your System will turn off by itself rather than play all night.

You can only set the Sleep Timer when the System is on.

Note: The clock must be correctly set for the timers to work. If the clock has not been set, the CLOCK indicator will flash on the display when you press the TIMER button for more than 2 seconds, and then the display alternates between “ADJUST” and “CLOCK” for about 5 seconds.

1Play a CD or a cassette tape, or tune in to the desired station.

2Press the SLEEP button on the Remote Control.

The SLEEP indicator lights up.

3Set the length of time you want the source to play before shutting off.

Each time you press the SLEEP button, it changes the number of minutes shown on the display in this sequence:

10 20 30 60

Canceled 120 90

After setting the number of minutes for the Sleep Timer, the display will stop flashing and return to the previous state.

The System is now set to turn off after the number of minutes you set.

To confirm the Sleep Time

When the SLEEP button is pressed, the remaining sleep time is displayed.

To cancel the Sleep Timer setting

Press the SLEEP button until the SLEEP indicator goes out on the display.

Turning off the System also cancels the Sleep Timer.
