Operating Other Manufacturers’ Video Equipment

By changing the transmittable signals, you can use the remote control supplied for this unit to operate other manufacturers’ equipment.

Refer also to the manuals supplied for the other products.

To operate these components with the remote control, first you need to set the manufacturers’ code each for TV, CATV converter, VCR and DVD player.

After replacing batteries of the remote control, set the manufacturers’ codes again.

To change the transmittable signals for operating a TV

1Set TV/CATV selector to TV.

2Press and hold STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

3Press TV SOUND.

4Enter manufacturer’s codes using buttons 1 – 9, and 0.

5Release STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

Now, you can perform the following operations on the TV.

STANDBY/ON

TV/CATV

 

: Turn on or off the TV.

TV/VIDEO

: Set the input mode (either TV or VIDEO).

 

 

TV VOLUME +/–

: Adjust the volume.

TV/CATV CH +/–

: Change the channels.

 

 

After pressing TV SOUND (source selecting button), you can use the following buttons on the TV:

1 – 10, +10 (100+) : Select a channel. +10 (100+) button will function as the ENTER button if your equipment requires pressing ENTER after selecting a channel number.

6Try to operate your TV by pressing

STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

When your TV turns on or off, you have entered the correct code.

5Release STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

Now, you can perform the following operations on the CATV converter.

: Turn on or off the CATV converter.

TV/CATV CH +/– : Change the channels.
