Using the timers

The record timer

This timer records the radio at a set time.

The example shows settings for recording preset channel 8 from 18:30 to 19:30.

Preparation: Turn the unit on, set the time (á page 12), preset radio stations (á page 25).

1 1 Press [CLOCK/TIMER, –DEMO] to select “ FREC”.

Each time you press the button:

1Press [TUNING (X or W)] to select the appropriate setting and

2press [SET] to confirm.

Select the start time.

Select the finish time.

Select the preset channel.

The record timer is now on standby. The display shows each

setting again then restores the original display.

5 Prepare for recording.

1 Insert a tape into deck 2.

2 Select the Dolby NR mode.

3 Select the reverse mode.

4 Select the tape direction.

 

6 Press [ê/I] to turn the unit off.

 

The “FPLAY/FREC” indicator remains lit to show the record

functions

(or play) timer is on even when ECO mode is selected (á

page 12).

Recording starts 30 seconds before the set time with the volume mut-

ed during the set time.

To cancel the timer

Convenient

Press [FPLAY/FREC] so “FREC” goes out.

Each time you press the button:

 

FPLAY>FREC>FPLAY FREC>Light off (OFF)

The record timer function will be canceled, but the settings stay in memory.
