BASIC OPERATION

BEFORE PLAYING

￿Please check the “Playable Discs” to confirm the disc being used is playable.

￿Confirm the Singing Machine is connected to the component/s properly and the power of the Singing Machine and the other component/s are on.

BASIC PLAYBACK

TO PLAY A DISC

1.Press the STANDBY button on the machine to turn on the unit.

2.Press the FUNCTION button on the machine or the remote control until LOADING appears on the LCD of your Singing Machine.

3.Press the Open/Close button on the unit to open disc compartment.

4.Place the disc in the compartment with the printed side facing toward you.

5.Press the Open/Close button on the unit to close disc compartment

6.Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the disc.

NOTE:

1.For some discs, playback will start from the first chapter or track of the disc automatically.

2.When you playback a DVD a title menu is recorded, it may appear on the screen. In this case, refer to “TITLE” section.

CAUTION: Keep your fingers away from the disc tray as it is closing. Neglecting to do so may cause serious personal injury.

TO STOP PLAYING A DISC

1.Press the STOP button to stop the disc from playing. A blue screen with The Singing Machine logo will appear on your TV screen. “Press the play button to continue” the picture will appear on the TV screen.

2.Press the PLAY/PAUSE to resume playback. The playback resumes from the same point the STOP button is pressed.

NOTE:

1.Pressing the STOP button again after the disc stops playing will clear the location index stored in memory.

DVD - Playback starts from the beginning of the current title.

CDG/CD - Playback starts from the beginning of the disc.

2.When playing an MP3 or JPG picture CD pressing STOP will not maintain a memory because there is no index location stored.

TO REMOVE A DISC

1.Press the STOP button.

2.Press the Open/Close button on the unit to open the disc compartment.

3.Remove the disc from the compartment.

4.Press the Open/Close button on the unit to close the disc compartment

TO GO TO NEXT AND PREVIOUS CHAPTER/ TRACK

1.For DVD disc: Pressing PRE aaa or NEXT aaa button can go to the next or previous chapter on the disc.

2. For CDG/CD/MP3 disc: Pressing NEXT aaa or PRE aaa button will enable you to go to the next or previous track on the disc.

NOTE:

1.When PRE aaa button is pressed once during normal playback of DVD, the chapter being played will be played from the beginning.

2.Input the index of the chapter or track by pressing the NUMBER buttons during the normal playback, the playback will go to that chapter or track directly.

TO PLAY IN FAST REVERSE OR FAST FORWARD

1.During normal playback of a DVD, CD or MP3, press the FWD button to fast forward and press the REV button to fast reverse.

2.Each time you press either button it will change the playback speed. The following sequence will appear on screen.

The rate and direction of playback is indicated on the display.

3.Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback.

NOTE:

1.This function is not available for CDG and JPG picture CD discs.

2.The Singing Machine omits the subtitle and mutes sound during fast forward or fast reverse mode.

3.The speed of the fast forward or fast reverse may differ depending on the disc.

TO PAUSE PLAYBACK (STILL MODE)

1.Press the PLAY/PAUSE button during playback.

2.Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to resume playback.

NOTE:

1.This function is available for all discs.

2.The sound is muted during this mode.

VOLUME CONTROL

Pressing master volume buttons +/- on the remote control or on the unit can adjust the volume of the audio output.
