Deleting an unnecessary song

<Note>

You cannot delete a song which is protected. To delete such a song, release the protection of the song first (see page 60).

You cannot undo deleting a song. Be careful when selecting a song you are going to delete.

1)While the recorder is stopped, press the [MENU] key to enter the menu mode.

The display shows the menu selection screen, in which "System" is highlighted initially.

2)Use the [CURSOR ] key to highlight "Song", then press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the song edit menu selection screen, in which "Select Song" is highlighted initially.

4)Use the [CURSOR /] keys to select a song to be deleted, and press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the confirmation screen for deleting the song.

In this screen, “Delete Song” and “Can’t Undo!” are shown for warning, as well as Yes-> RECORD+YES” and No-> NO Key” alternately flash. The MR-8 asks for confirmation because you cannot undo deleting the song.

<Note>

To cancel deleting the song, press the [CURSOR ] key.

5) Press the [CURSOR ] key while holding down the [RECORD] key.

The selected song is deleted, while any song number greater than the song number of the deleted song is moved up.

In the screen example below, after Song 03 is deleted, ex-Song 04 ("Original_Name4") is moved up to Song 03.

3) Use the [CURSOR ] key to highlight "Delete Song", then press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the song list screen, from which you select a song to be deleted.

6) Press the [MENU] key to exit the menu mode.
