5)Use the [CURSOR /] keys to select the desired track(s).

If you select a mono track for the copy source, you can select a mono destination track. If you select stereo pair tracks for the copy source, you can select stereo pair destination tracks.

9) Press the [MENU] key to exit the menu mode.

• Pasting clipboard data

1)Store the LOCATE A point where you want to paste the data (see page 53).

If you paste the data to the same position as the copied part, you can skip this step (because you have already stored it as the LOCATE A point be- fore the copy operation).

6)Use the [CURSOR ] key to move the cursor to "[ENTER]" at the lower right on the screen, then press the [ENTER] key.

The display shows "Please Wait!", immediately fol- lowed by "Completed!" when the MR-8 completes the paste operation.

To cancel the paste operation, move the cursor to "[CANCEL]" at the lower left on the screen, then press the [ENTER] key.

2)While the recorder is stopped, press the [MENU] key to enter the menu mode.

The display shows the menu selection screen, in which "System" is highlighted initially.

3)Use the [CURSOR ] key to highlight "Part", then press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the part edit menu selec- tion screen, in which "Paste Part" is highlighted ini- tially.

4)While "Paste Part" is highlighted, press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the screen for selecting the track(s) to which you want to paste the data.

If you are going to carry out the paste operation when no data is pasted on the clipboard, the er- ror message (“Clip board Empty!”) is shown on the display and the MR-8 does not accept the opera-
