WALL SWITCH INSTALLATION
Since the fireplaces use a valve that operates on millivolt current generated by the pilot, a wall switch (not included) may be used to activate the gas control valve without the use of normal household electricity. A hand- held, ON/OFF remote control is standard with this unit. Wall switch is optional. If the wall switch is installed, the

dure to install louvers back onto the |
appliance (see Figure 34). |
Installing Receiver
Note: Receiver is preinstalled.

2. Connect the 18 ga. wires from wall |
switch (not included) to the gas con- |
trol valve and microswitch, as shown |
in Figure 35. |
WARNING: Do not wire remote wall switch to main power supply (Standard120vhouseholdcurrent).

1. | Remove access panel from lower front |
| face of firebox. Lift straight up on ac- |
| cess panel until it stops. Pull bottom of |
| access panel forward, then down. |
2. | Disconnect wall switch wires from TH |
| and TPTH terminals on control valve |
| (see Figure 35). |
3. | Install remote receiver unit onto mount- |
| ing bracket using the two plastic mount- |
| ing clips (see Figure 36). |
4. | Connect wires to control valve. Con- |
| nect white wire to terminal TH. Con- |
| nect red wire to terminal TPTH. |
5. | Locate the battery clip mounted on the |
| back of the receiver (see Figure 37). |

Installing
1.Remove battery cover on back of re- mote control unit.
2.Attach terminal wires to the battery (not included). Place battery into the battery housing.
3.Replace battery cover onto remote con- trol unit.
