NOTE: If you choose not to record an outgoing announcement, a default announcement plays instead. To return to the default announcement after you have recorded your own outgoing announcement, press the delete button while the announcement is reviewing.

Sample Outgoing Announcement

Hi, this is (use your name here), I can’t answer the phone right now, so please leave your name, number and a brief message after the tone, and I’ll get back to you. Thanks.

NOTE: The maximum recording time for the outgoing announcement is 2 minutes. Your announcement must be at least 3 seconds in length.

Remote Access Code

You can access the answering system from a tone-dial telephone in another (remote) location.

The code is required for remote access, and it prevents unauthorized access to your answering system. The code can be any 3-digit number, from 000 to 999 . The pre-set code is 123.

1.Press the menu button repeatedly until you hear “Remote access code is 123”. The indicator displays AC.

2.Press the repeat or skip button to change the setting.

3.Press the menu button to confirm.

4.Repeat Steps 2 & 3 until all 3-digits have been set. The answering system announces the new code.

Announce Only On/Off

1.Press the menu button repeatedly until you hear “Announce Only is On (or OFF)”. Ao shows in the display.

2.Press the repeat or skip button to change the setting.

3.Press the menu button to confirm your setting.

Message Alert

When Message Alert is ON, the answering system will beep every 10 seconds when new messages have been received.

1.Press the menu button repeatedly until you hear “Message Alert is ON (or OFF)”. The indicator displays AL.

2.Press the repeat or skip button to change the setting.

3.Press the menu button to confirm your setting.
