Registering Your Expansion Handset

After the handset has been fully charged, you must register it with the main base station. You can register up to eight handsets.

To register your expansion handset with the base:

1Select OK.

2Press and hold PAGE on the base station for at least 6 seconds or until you hear a long beep and see the handset name, for example, Handset(2).

Note: You must press and hold PAGE within 5 seconds after selecting OK. If you do not press PAGE, you will need to repeat step 1.

3Select OK to return to the standby screen.

Deregistering a Handset

You may deregister all expansion handsets from the base station.

Caution: Read and perform the following instructions carefully. Missing a step or performing a step ncorrectly may render your telephone system inoperable.

1Delete or listen to all voice mail messages, if necessary, to clear the IN USE/voice mail indicator.

Note: Skip this step if it does not apply to your MD Series cordless telephone model.

2Press OFF on the base station and all handsets.

3Press and hold PAGE on the base station again until the IN USE indicator begins to flash slowly, then release.
