Getting started

Telephone base layout

/MUTE

•Tap to review the directory when the phone is not in use (page 32).

•When the telephone base is in the directory, tap to return to idle mode.

•During a call, tap to mute the microphone (page 21).

•While the phone is ringing, tap to silence the ringer temporarily (page 21).

CID/FLASH

•Tap to review the caller ID log when the phone is not in use (page 39).

•When the telephone base is in the caller ID log, tap to return to idle mode.

•Tap to answer another incoming call during a call (page 21).

•While reviewing a caller ID log entry, press repeatedly to add or remove 1 in front of the telephone number before dialing or saving it in the directory (page 40).

•Press and hold to set or dial your voicemail number (pages 15 and 23).

•Press repeatedly to show other dialing

options when reviewing a caller ID log entry (page 40).

•Press to switch to tone dialing during a call if you have pulse service (page 22).

CHARGE light

•On when the handset is charging in the telephone base (page 3).
