Quiet mode

You can turn on the quiet mode for a period of time (1-12 hours). During this period, all tones (except paging tone) and call screening are muted.

When you turn on the quiet mode, the answering system turns on automatically. When the quiet mode duration expires, the answering system remains on.

To set the quiet mode duration:

1.Press and hold when the handset is not in use.

2.The handset displays Quiet: __ hours. Use the dialing keys to enter the desired duration (01-12).

3.Press SELECT to confirm and return to idle. You hear

a confirmation tone. The handset displays Quiet mode on, ANS ON and . The telephone base displays Quiet mode on and ANS ON.

To turn off the quiet mode:

Press and hold when the handset is not in use. The handset displays Quiet mode off briefly and then returns to idle.

• If you change the settings of the ringer tone, handset ringer volume or telephone base ringer volume while the quiet mode

is on, you can still hear the samples of them.
