Security functions

Security functions

The security functions are protected by a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN is needed only when the Read-Only option is switched on.

Use the Security menu for the following:

“Changing the PIN” on page 78

“Activating Read-Only” on page 78

“Resetting the handset” on page 79

If you have forgotten your PIN, contact your system administrator.

1.Press the Menu soft key.

2.Press the arrow keys to scroll and highlight the Security option.

3.Press the OK soft key.

4.Use the dialpad to enter the PIN.

Note: When your phone is shipped from the factory, the PIN is set to 0000. When you enter the PIN, a string of asterisks (****) is displayed for security reasons.

5.Press the OK soft key.

6.Press the Esc soft key one or more times to return to the idle display.
