Hands-free Digital Duplex Speakerphone

For best speaker performance, use in a quiet room and talk alternately with the caller.

If the other party has difficulty hearing you, press (›) to decrease the speaker volume. Decreasing the speaker volume will increase the microphone sensitivity.

You can switch to the handset by lifting it up. To switch back to the speakerphone, press (DIGITAL–SP-PHONE).

To adjust the handset volume (3 levels) or speaker volume (8 levels) while talking

To increase, press (‹).

To decrease, press (›).

The display shows the volume level for a few seconds.

Basic Operation

To put a call on hold

Press (HOLD).

Line on HOLD.” is displayed on the cordless handset.

The DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator flashes.

If using the handset, you can place it on the cradle. If you put a call on hold for more than 6 minutes, an alarm tone will sound. The call will be disconnected

after a total of 10 minutes.

To release the hold

From the base unit:

when using the speakerphone, press (DIGITAL–SP-PHONE)or lift the handset.

when using the handset, press (HOLD).

From the cordless handset, press .

If another phone is connected on the same line (p. 64), you can also release the hold by lifting its handset.

Backlit LCD display

The lighted base unit display will stay after lifting the handset or pressing (DIGITAL–SP-PHONE).
