General use
Problem | Cause/solution |
The unit does not work. | L Make sure the battery is installed correctly |
| and fully charged (page 18, 20). |
| L Check the connections (page 17). |
| L Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the |
| unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again. |
| L The handset has not been registered to the |
| base unit. Register the handset (page 75). |
lI cannot hear a dial tone | L Confirm the Ethernet cable is properly |

| L You have not agreed to the Terms of Use for |
| the Aservices. To use the AIP line, you |
| need to agree to it using the handset (page |

| L Check the base unit’s IP address using the |

| L Check your network devices’ (router, modem, |
| etc.) connections. If the connections are made |

| resetting all the equipment. First, shut down |
| your modem, router, base unit, and computer. |
| Then turn the devices back on one at a time in |
| this order: modem, router, base unit, |
| computer. |
| L If you cannot access Internet Web pages |
| using your computer, check to see if your |
| Internet service provider is having connection |
| issues in your area. |
