8.26DYNAMIC REGROUP OPERATION
Dynamic Regroup Operation permits multiple talk groups (up to eight) to be added to a radio via the system manager. The radio must be
Pressing and holding the button for 2.5 seconds toggles the user into and out of the dynamic regroup groupset. A double beep will sound for entry or exit. The display will indicate REGRP_0x where "x" is a digit of 1 to 8 indicating the group (when dynamic regroup has been enabled by the user). If the radio is in dynamic regroup and the user selects a group that has not been regrouped, the display will show NO ENTRY. The radio will be prevented from transmitting and receiving calls in this condition except for scanned groups.

8.28PORTABLE DATA
The P5400 series portable radios, when operating in the EDACS Trunked configuration, permit both voice and data calls to be transmitted and received. The radio can handle only one type of call at a time; however, either data or voice is selected transparently by the operator through normal usage of the radio. Data communications is not supported in conventional mode.
