Do not connect the unit through a video cassette recorder, because the picture may not be displayed correctly due to copy guard protection.

Turn the television off before connecting, and refer to the television’s operating instructions.

COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals

 

These terminals can be used for either interlace or

 

progressive output. Connection using these terminals

FM outdoor antenna

outputs the colour difference signals (PB/PR) and

 

luminance signal (Y) separately in order to achieve

 

high fidelity in reproducing colours. The description of

 

the component video input terminals depends on the

 

television or monitor (e.g. Y/PB/PR,Y/B- Y/R-Y, Y/CB/CR).

 

Connect to terminals of the same colour.

 

FM outdoor antenna (not included)

To enjoy progressive video

1.Connect to a progressive output compatible television.

2.Set “VIDEO OUT (I/P)” to “PROGRESSIVE”, then follow the instructions on the menu screen

(page 23, “VIDEO” menu).

Note

Disconnect the outdoor antenna when the unit is not in use.

Do not use the outdoor antenna during a lightning storm.

Connect the AM loop antenna

Run a piece of vinyl wire horizontally across a window or other convenient location.

Leave the loop antenna connected.
