POLISHER OPERATION

1. Hold the polisher firmly by its housing and side handle (Fig. 1).

The polisher produces a counterforce which must be controlled by firmly holding onto the polisher.

2. Switch operation

This enables the polisher always to be controlled with the hand gripping the machine for maximum safety during polishing operations.

<Intermittent use>

Switch ON: Press the switch trigger.

Switch OFF: Release the switch trigger. <Continuous use>

Switch ON: Press the switch trigger. The switch trigger is locked by pushing on the locking button.

Switch OFF: Press and release the switch trigger.

3.Use light polishing pressure.

There is no need to press hard when polishing. Usually the polisher’s own weight is sufficient to allow the required light contact with the surface to be ground.

CAUTION: Do not press the polisher forcibly against the surface to be ground. Heavy pressure can damage the surface being ground or damage the polisher’s motor.

4.Use of polishing compound or wax

Depending on the finishing degree of the surface, use the polishing compound or wax. In order to attain the maximum polishing effect, first polish the surface with the fine sand paper using the sander, then polish it with the polishing compound using the wool bonnet, and then finish with wax. Apply a small quantity of the compound and wax to the surface, and polish with the wool bonnet.

5.Beware of the cord during operation

CAUTION: Do not let the cord touch the wool bonnet during its operation, for the rotating wool bonnet may catch the cord and roll it in.

6. Precaution after use

CAUTION: Do not lay the polisher down immediately after using on a place where there are many shavings, much dirt and dust until it has completely stopped revolving.

If the polisher is laid down with the wool bonnet turned downward before it has completely stopped revolving, there is a risk that the material may be damaged and the polisher may run wild, resulting in injury.
