1.Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the volume button board cable is attached, and then disconnect the volume button board cable from the system board.

2.Remove the three Phillips PM1.5×2.3 screws (2) that secure the volume button board to the bottom cover.

3.Remove the bracket (3) that secures the volume button board to the bottom cover.

The volume button board bracket is included in the Slate Bracket Kit, spare part number 793712-001.

4.Remove the volume button board (4) and cable.

Reverse this procedure to install the volume button board.
