Configuring HP FTAM/9000
FTAM Password Types: ftam_pw
FTAM Password Types: ftam_pw
The following parameters are used to specify how the password is encoded and sent in the Protocol Data units (PDUs). The password can be sent as either octet strings or graphic strings. If the ftam_pw file is not present or if the parameters contain invalid values, FTAM applications uses a default behavior. The default behavior is to encode and send the passwords as octet strings.
Most responder implementations allow passwords to be encoded and sent as either octet or graphic strings. Therefore the contents of this file do not normally require any changes. But, when interoperating with a remote system that supports only graphic string passwords, the parameters in this file need to be changed suitably.
ftam_responder This parameter specifies the name of the remote host. The password type is specified in the filestore_pw parameter.
