Replacing a Printhead

1Make sure the printer power is on.

2 Open the ink cartridge door, then lift and remove the printhead access cover (on the right side of the printer). The attention light flashes while the cover is open.

The metal printhead latch tab prevents the printhead latch from being opened when the printer is not turned on.

3 Open the printhead latch.

a) Lift the purple printhead latch, then pull the latch forward and down to release the latch hook from the purple carriage lock.

b)Push and lift the latch toward the back of the printer so the printheads are completely revealed. The latch should rest on the back of the printer.
