Printing a Diagnostic Test Page

The Diagnostic Test page is a useful tool for checking printer status. The test page includes information on the printer, built-in fonts, printheads, and ink cartridges.

To print a Diagnostic Test page

1With the printer on (power light on), press and hold

down the power button.

2Press the resume button 5 times.

3Release the power button.

Testing Two-way Communication

If you are not sure whether two-way communication is working, you can test it using the HP 2000C Toolbox.

To test two-way communication

1Make sure the printer and computer are on. (Always turn the printer on first).

2Open the HP 2000C Toolbox. For details, see ÒUsing the HP 2000C ToolboxÓ in the ÒUsing Your Printer Driver SoftwareÓ section of this UserÕs Guide.

3Click the Services tab, then click Test Printer Communication. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
