Replacing a Printhead

7 Close the purple printhead latch. Be sure that the hook on the printhead latch catches the purple carriage lock.

The carriage lock must be engaged in order for the printhead carriage to move into its operational position.

8 Replace the printhead access cover. Align the back first, then lower the rest of the cover down. Snap the cover in place and close the ink cartridge door.

The printhead carriage returns to its ÒhomeÓ position, and the attention light stops flashing when the cover is closed.
