5.Click the Clean button to feed the cloth through the scanner.

CAUTION: Wait two minutes for the components to dry before proceeding to the next step.

6.Place up to five pages of printed paper in the ADF. Scan and view the results.

7.If streaks still appear, repeat steps 3 through 6. The cleaning cloth can be cycled through the ADF up to five times.

Clean the ADF window

If streaks exist on scanned images, cleaning the ADF window might solve the problem. Use the following steps to clean the ADF window.

To order more HP paper-path cleaning cloths, go to www.hp.com/support. To clean the ADF window, follow these steps:

1.Open the scanner lid.

2.Locate the ADF access door on the underside of the ADF.

3.Press the tabs on the door, and then pull the door toward you until it detaches from the ADF.
