Your Residential Garage Door Opener is furnished with an enhanced 2 Wire Safe

Finish™ Photosystem. The features include:

Time-Saving Electrical Connections. No screw terminals! Just strip the ends of the wires back 5/16 inch and use the supplied wire nut connectors for a quick hook-up to

pre-wired garages or to the wires you run on site. See the figure above applicable to your

installation.

Universal Wiring Capabilities. The Safe

Finish™ Photosystem can be wired in series or parallel combinations. Virtually any

existing wiring can be used. See the figures above.

Improved Sunlight Immunity. Under certain conditions, direct sunlight can overpower photobeam systems. We have provided an extra internal circuitry to reduce sunlight problems. When required, the position of the transmitter and receiver may be interchanged with out rewiring.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

USE EXTREME CAUTION AT ALL TIMES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DIAGNOSE AND RECTIFY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER. BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY SERVICE ON UNIT, DISCONNECT OPENER FROM POWER SUPPLY. YOUR GARAGE DOOR IS THE LARGEST MOVING OBJECT IN YOUR HOUSE, AND THE SPRINGS, PULLEYS, CABLES AND MOUNTING HARDWARE UTILIZED TO BALANCE ITS OPERATION ARE UNDER EXTREME

WARNING TENSION AT ALL TIMES AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, EVEN DEATH, IF DISTURBED. CALL AN EXPERIENCED SERVICE PERSON TO MOVE, LOOSEN OR ADJUST DOOR SPRINGS OR HARDWARE.

With the appropriate cau- tions in place, use the fast find LED diagnostic chart (at right) or the Sympton/ Probable Cause/Solution matrix to diagnose the problem. The LEDs are located on the power head unit rear panel, see page 12 for picture diagram. Con- tact the factory if your problem persists or is not listed.
