Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips

Locate the copper ground strapon the lower back of the range.

Loosen the upper center screwon the terminalblock.

Slidethe open slotted end of the ground strap under the upper center screwon the terminal block. Makesure the ground strapis all the way againstthe upper centerscrew and tighten it in place.

Place the ground plate (removed earlier) over the bottom of the ground strap,press them against the range frame and attachthem with the ground screw (removed earlier).

Remove the strain relief clampfrom the bracket.

Assemble the squeeze connector (obtained locally), matching the diameter of your conduit, in the bracket hole. Insert the conduit through the squeeze connector.Allow enough slackto easilyattach the wires to the terminal block.

NOTE: Do not install the conduit without a squeeze connector.

Insert the center barewire (white/neutral) tip through the bottom centerterminal block opening. On certain models, the wire will need to be inserted through the ground strap opening and then into the bottom center block opening. Insert the two side barewire tips into the lower left and the lowerright terminalblock openings. Tighten the screws until the wireis firmly secure (approximately 20 inch-lbs.).

NOTE: Make sure the wire is completely inserted into the terminal block and a secure connection is made.

Secure the squeeze connectorin placein the bracket by tightening the squeeze connector screws.

NOTE: ALUMINUM WIRING:

Aluminum buildingwiremay be used but it must be rated for the correct amperageand voltage to makeconnection.
