The type plate is located on the rear of the subwoofer.

Connections

1Use the cinch cable supplied to connect SUBWOOFER IN to SUBWOOFER PRE-OUT at the receiver.

2Check whether the power voltage as shown on the type plate corresponds to your local power voltage. If it does not, consult your dealer or service organization.

3Connect the power cable to the power outlet. This switches on the power supply. Do not connect the subwoofer to the outlets of the receiver.

Note: To disconnect completely the subwoofer from the power, remove the power plug from the power outlet.

Adjustment

The subwoofer must be adjusted to your listening environment and to your speaker setup. This only needs to be done once.

1Press y to switch on the subwoofer. yThe status light turns green.

2Play one of your favorite tracks at a normal listening level.

3Turn SUBWOOFER LEVEL CONTROL to adjust the volume of the subwoofer.

4Select the reproduced frequency range by turning

CUT OFF FREQUENCY. The higher the cut off frequency is set, the stronger the bass reproduction will be.

Note: The subwoofer reproduces the range between 35 Hz and the frequency selected with CUT OFF FREQUENCY.

5You may switch PHASE SELECTOR from 0° to 180°. Select the setting that provides the sound that produces the bass effect.

6Press y to switch the subwoofer to standby. yThe status light turns red.

Operation

1Press y to switch on the subwoofer. yThe status light turns green.

2If the sound reproduction is noisy, reduce the volume of the subwoofer.

3Press y to switch the subwoofer to standby. yThe status light turns red.
