Your refrigerator will have one of two types of filter replacement reminders. One is a simple slide knob on the rear control box that you set to six months after installing a new filter. The other is an electronic light on the freezer door dispenser that lights up yellow when the filter is almost ready for replacement and lights up red when the filter must be replaced. The indicator is pressed for approximately 10 seconds to reset after replacing the filter.
