Freezing

Your freezer WIII not quack-freeze any large quantrty of food. Put no more unfrozen food into the freezer than will freeze within 24 hours (about 2 to 3 Ibs of food per cubic loot [907-l ,350 gr per 28.32 liters] of freezer space). Leave enough space in the freezer for arr to crrculate around packages. Also leave enough mom at the front so the door can close trghtly.

Storage times vary according lo the quality and type of food the type of packaging used (airtight

and moisture-proof), and the storage tempartature. Ice crystals insrde a sealed package are normal.

It means that moisture in the food and air inside the package have condensed. creating ice crystals

NOTE: Allow hot foods to cool at room temperature for 30 mrnutes, then package and freeze. Coolrng hot foods before freeztng saves energy

Ne pas prevoit que votre congelateur congele raprde- ment une grande quantite d’aliments. Veiller

a ce que la quantrte d’aliments ne prenne pas plus de 24 heures a congeler (au plus 907 2 1 350 gr par 28.32 litres [2 a 3 lb d’aliments par pied cube 1). Laisser assei d’espace pour permettre la cirulation d’air entre les emballages. S’assurer aussr de laisser assez d‘espace a I’avant pour que la Porte ferme hermetiquement.

Les periodes de conservatron vaneront selon la qualite et le type des alrments. le type d’embaltage

ou de pellrcule utilrsee (hermetique et a I’epreuve de I’humrdite) e: la temperature d‘entreposage.

Les cristaux de glace a I‘inteneur d’un emballage scelle sont normaux. Ces cristaux signifient simplement que I’humidite dans les alrments et fair a l’rnterieur de I’emballage se sont condenses en creant des cristaux de galce.

REMARQUE : Laisser les aliments chauds refrordir a la temperature ambiante pendant 30 minutes, ensuite les

emballer et les congeler. Le refroidissement des aliments chauds avant la congelation fera economrser de l’energie.
