d. Slowly openthe drain valve by using theblack knobbedextensionrod. If necessaryuse theclean-outrod to clearthecrumbsfrom thedrain. Use the long handledbrushto clean the sidesof the tank asthe oil drains.

e. Openthe red handledreturnvalve to the tank you arefiltering. When the tank is empty closethe drain valve andturn on the filter pump. As the tank fills, brush theinside of the tank to remove crumbs.

f.When bubbles are seencoming out of the oil return spout, turn off the pump. Open the drain valve and allow the tank to drain again. Repeatstepsb through d until the tank is clean.

g.When cleaning is oompleteturn the pumpoff, closethe drain valve, and repla~ the tube screen. Open the red handledreturn valve and turn on the pump to refill the fryer with the filtered oil. Continue to run the filter pump until bubbles oome out the oil return

opening. Turn thepumpoff andclosetheredhandledreturn valve. If necessaryaddmore shorteningto thetankto returnthe shorteninglevel to thefill mark. The fryer is now ready for use.

2.5DAILY CLEANING

Your fryer shouldbe cleanedeveryday to maintain peakperformanceandappearan~. Perform the

a.Wipe up any shorteningthatspills ontotheexteriorof thefryer. This shouldbedonewith a clean soft cloth.
