Explanation:

The PT 820 M features active tone controls. They are designed to compensate for adverse effects on reproduction quality caused by unfavourable loud speakerlocationsorroominfluences.

These controls are deliberately designed to affect

frequenciesabove4000Hz(

toavoidunwantedcolorationinthemidrange.

Operation:

To change the tone settings press the remote contro

The LOUDNESS circuitincreasesbothbassandtreble slightly at low volume, to compensate for the human ear’s reduced sensitivity for these frequencies at low levels.Theneteffectisthatthesoundqualityap pearsto remainconstantatallvolumelevels.
