2.11.2 DETECCIÓN DE BAJA PRESIÓN DE ACEITE

Si el sistema detecta una presión de aceite baja durante la operación, el motor se apaga.

2.11.3 REARRANQUE

Es posible que el motor NO arranque si trata de rearrancarlo en un lapso de 10 segundos después de que se apague. El sistema requiere de 5 a 10 segundos para restablecerse.

Si se vuelve a arrancar el motor después de apagarlo y no se ha corregido la presión baja de aceite, el motor funcionará durante 10 segundos como se describe arriba y luego se detendrá.

2.12 CARGA DE LA BATERIA

Los acumuladores emiten hidrógeno explosivo mientras se recargan. Una mezcla explosiva permanecerá alrededor de la batería por bastante tiempo después de la recarga. La chispa más ligera puede encender el hidrógeno y causar una explosión. Tal explosión puede hacer añicos la batería y causar ceguera u otras lesiones graves.

Este cargador de baterías es de tipo impulso y está diseñado para proporcionar una corriente de carga de calidad a la batería. El voltaje medido en la salida debe ser de 8-12 VCC. Esto es normal y no indica un sistema de carga defectuoso.

Para recargar baterías de 12 voltios, proceda de la siguiente manera.

•Revise el nivel del fluido en todas las celdas de la batería. Si es necesario, añada SÓLO agua destilada para cubrir los separadores de las celdas de la batería. No use agua del grifo.

•Si la batería está equipada con tapas para las ventilas, asegúrese de que estén instaladas y bien apretadas.

•Si es necesario, limpie los terminales de la batería.

•Conecte el enchufe del conectador del cable de carga de la batería en el receptáculo del panel identificado por las palabras "12-VOLT D.C."

•Conecte la pinza del cable de carga de la batería que tiene el mango rojo en el terminal (+) de la batería.

•Conecte la pinza del cable de carga de la batería que tiene el mango negro en el terminal (-) de la batería.

•Arranque el motor. Deje que el motor funcione mientras la batería se recarga. El conmutador de control de marcha de vacío del motor debe estar apagado cuando se cargue la batería.

•Cuando termine de cargarse la batería apague el motor.

NOTA:

No permita que se fume, ni la presencia de llamas abiertas, chispas u otra fuente de calor alrededor de la batería. Use gafas protectoras, delantal y guantes de caucho cuando trabaje alrededor de la batería. El electrolito de la batería es una solución de ácido sulfúrico extremadamente cáustica que puede causar quemaduras graves. Si ocurre un derrame, enjuague inmediatamente el área con agua limpia.

Este generador tiene la capacidad de recargar un acumulador automotor de 12 voltios o un acumulador tipo utilitario. No use la unidad para cargar ninguna batería de 6 voltios. No use la unidad para arrancar un motor que tenga la batería descargada.

Use un hidrómetro automotor para probar el estado de carga y la condición de la batería. Siga minuciosamente las instrucciones del fabricante del hidrómetro. Por lo general se considera que una batería está 100 % cargada cuando la gravedad específica de su fluido (medida por el hidrómetro) es de 1.260 o más.
