Syntax

ssh server authentication-retries times

Parameter

times: The number of authentication retries, which is in the range of 1 to 5 and defaults to 3.

Description

Using the ssh server authentication-retriescommand, you can set the number of SSH connection authentication retries that are allowed. Using the undo ssh server authentication-retriescommand, you can restore the default maximum number of SSH connection authentication retries that are allowed..

This command is to prevent the illegal activities such as malicious decipherment by limiting the number of SSH connection authentication retries. The configuration will take effect the next time when the use logs in the router.
