10 CHAPTER 1: VCX™ CONNECT INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
■Camp On — Enables a “camping-on” telephone at the VCX
Connect site to be called back by the VCX Connect system when a
camped-on telephone at the VCX Connect site is available
■Bridged Station Appearances — Enables a primary telephone at
the VCX Connect site to be mapped to up to 4 secondary phones
at the VCX Connect site
■Attendant Serial Calling — Enables an outside caller to make a
single call to a user at a VCX Connect site, and, without
disconnecting, sequentially connect to several other users within
the site via a series of call transfers
■Group Call Pickup — Enables a group of users within a VCX
Connect site to be defined such that any ringing call to a member
of the group may be answered by dialing the group pickup
extension
■Hunt Groups — Enables telephones at the VCX Connect site to be
assigned to 3 different types of Hunt Groups
■System Speed Dials — Enables a System Administrator to define
speed dial numbers for a given VCX Connect site that are available
to all users at that site
■Call Routing
Calls may be routed via WAN connections to other VCX Connect sites
after proper configuration of routing data at each site
■Call Records
Call records data are consolidated at each VCX Connect site. The CDR
software at each VCX Connect site collects call records data for that
site.
■Configurations
All VCX Connect servers support both IP Telephony and IP Messaging.
At each VCX Connect site, either a single server, or a redundant pair
of VCX Connect servers may be deployed.
