Scripts
The sample scripts in this section provide guidance by example for how to
configure VCX Connect servers.
■Networking Sample Script — Comments interspersed within this
sample script provide guidance on how to reconfigure the networking
parameters of a VCX Connect server.
■Reconfiguration Sample Script — Comments interspersed within this
sample script provide guidance on how to reconfigure the network
and additional configuration parameters of a VCX Connect server.
Networking Sample
Script
This script was run on a primary VCX Connect server in order to configure
the network parameters only. If you run this script on a secondary VCX
Connect server, the script questions are identical, but your answers must
be changed slightly for the secondary server.
To run this script, you must be logged in to the root account on the
server.
Throughout the script sample, comments are provided immediately after
the section of the script to which they apply. Comments appear in a
different type face and are indented for easy identification.
Default answers are enclosed in square brackets (for example, [yes]). To
accept the default answer to any question/prompt, press the Enter or
Return key.
To start the script, enter the following command:
vcx-config-network -wizard

This wizard sets up networking and related services.
