Installing an Add-On Secondary VCX Connect Server
This section describes how to install a secondary VCX Connect server as a
backup to a primary VCX Connect server already in operation. The
secondary server provides a fail-over point in the event that the primary
server becomes unavailable for any reason.
CAUTION: Installing a secondary server requires reconfiguration of the
primary server. During the reconfiguration process, the primary server is
unavailable and service to telephone users is interrupted. 3Com
recommends that customers reconfigure the primary server at a time
when no telephone activity is expected.

CAUTION: You must reconfigure the primary VCX Connect server before
you configure the the secondary server in order to update the primary
server with information about the secondary server. Later, when you
install and configure the secondary server, it obtains some of its
