Playing MP3/WMA/AAC Files from USB

Memory (optional)

If you connect a USB memory containing MP3/WMA/AAC, the

following table shows which typ e of files can be playe d on which models.

Press SOURCE to switch to the USB AUDIO mode.

Pressing  again will resume the playback.

Notes

• The root folder is displayed as “ROOT” in the Folder Name Search

mode.

• This unit plays back files in the USB Memory with the same controls

and modes as playback of CDs containing MP3/WMA/AAC. For

details, refer to “CD/MP3/WMA/AAC” on page14.

• Before disconnecting USB Memory, be sure to change to another source

or set to pause.

• The playback time may not be correctly displayed when a VBR

(Variable Bit Rate) recorded file is played back.

Open the cover of the USB Port.

Connection the USB Memory directly to the USB Por t, or

via the USB cable.

Carefully, pull out the USB Memory Device from the USB

cable or the USB Port.

Close the cover of the USB Port.

Notes

• Change to a source othe r than the USB Memo ry mode, then re move the

USB Memory Device. If USB Memory is removed in the USB Memory

mode, data may be damaged.

• When removi ng USB Memor y, pull it out strai ght.

• If sound is not output or USB Memory is not recognized even when

connected, remove the USB Memory Device once, and then connect it

again.

• Route the USB cable away from other cables, etc.

• After removing the USB Memory, close the cover of the USB Port to

prevent dust or foreign objects from entering and causing a

malfunction.

About MP3/WMA/AAC File of USB Memory

Playing back MP3/WMA/ AAC

MP3/WMA/AAC files are prepared, then stored to a USB Memory

Device. This unit can recognise at most 100 folders and 100 files per

folder stored in USB Memory. Playback may not be performed if a USB

Memory Device exceeds the limitations described above.

Do not make a file’s playback time more than 1 hour.

Media supported

This device can play back USB Memory.

Corresponding File Systems
