1After entering corrections for the front (left and right) speakers in STEP 15, the time difference is 1.5 ms for both front-left and front-right speakers.

2After entering corrections for the left (front and rear) speakers in STEP 15, the time difference becomes 3.0 ms** for the front left speaker and 1.5 ms for the left rear speaker.

**Because the time difference was already set to 1.5 ms for the front left speaker in STEP 1, the additional correction in STEP 15 makes the time difference of the front left speaker 3.0 ms.

Tips

*Subwoofer speaker

Delay (turn the rotary encoder) the audio signal to the front (left and right) speakers to make the apparent position of the subwoofer to be at the front. In doing this, the apparent position between the front (left and right) speakers and subwoofer will appear equal to the driver. After performing above, you can change the positions of left and right speakers by delaying the time.

Adjustment and Storing/Recalling of the Built-in Crossover

The High and Low Pass Filters on this unit can be adjusted to suit your personal taste.

Setting item: X-OVER

1Touch [ ] of X-OVER.

The screen changes to the X-OVER screen to be adjusted.

2Adjust the crossover to your preference.

X-OVER (LPF) adjustment screen example

Displays the speaker to be adjusted When adjusting HPF: FRONT/REAR When adjusting LPF: SUBW.

Displays the selected HP or LP

Displays the cut-off frequency currently selected Displays the slope range of currently selected HPF or

Active bar: displays the position of the cut-off frequency currently selected with an orange bar

Switching between HPF and LPF

HPF/LPF changes each time [HPF/LPF] is touched.

HPF: Outputs all frequencies higher than that selected according to your preference.

LPF: Outputs all frequencies lower than that selected according to your preference.

(Only available when using the subwoofer output from this unit.)

Except when the HPF and LPF is turned OFF, the subwoofer is in monaural mode.

Selecting the Cut-Off Frequency

Touch [ ] or [], then select the cut-off frequency (crossover point).

Setting frequency: 80Hz, 120Hz, 160Hz

Adjusting the Slope

Touch [SLOPE], then adjust the HPF or LPF slope.

Setting slope: OFF, -12dB/oct

Adjusting Cut-off Frequency Directly

Touching the variable range of the cut-off frequency moves the cut-off frequency to the touched position.

3 Touch [RETURN] to return to the Previous screen.

Storing the Adjusted Contents

Following operation is performed after Step 3 above.

4Touch [MEMORY] on the BASS ENGINE screen.

5Within 5 seconds, touch any one of preset buttons [P.SET 1] through [P.SET 6].

The adjusted contents will be stored on the preset number you touch.

The stored contents on the P.SET number remain undeleted despite a reset operation or disconnection of the battery power cord.

Adjusted/set contents of each setting item in Bass Engine can be stored in the preset buttons (1 through 6).
