carrier, such s hip ments bec ome the prop erty of the consi gnee.

 

Should damage occur in s hipment, it is a mat ter b etween th e c arrier and the c onsi gnee. In such cases, th e ca rrier is as sumed t o be responsible f or the sa fe del ivery of t he merchandise, un less negl igence can b e e stablished on t he pa rt of the shipper.
