For a more detailed breakdown of the amount of memory installed in your computer, use Apple System Profiler. Under Mac OS 9, choose Apple System Profiler from the Apple K menu. Under Mac OS X, open the Applications folder, then open the Utilities folder, and double-click the Apple System Profiler application to open it
