8.3 MSN Messenger : Instant Messaging

MSNMessenger on your mobile device is an instant messaging program that lets

you:

nSee who is online.

nSend and receive instant messages.

nHave instant message conversations with groups of contacts.

nNotify contacts of your on-line status.

nBlock contacts from seeing your status or sending you messages.

To use MSN Messenger, you must have a Microsoft Passport TM account or a Microsoft

Exchange e-mail account. Once you have obtained one of these accounts, you are ready

to sign in to MSN Messenger.

If you have a Hotmail  or MSN account, you already have a Passport.

http://www.hotmail.com

To switch to MSN Messenger :

Tap → Program → MSN Messenger

Setting Up and Signing In

Connect to the Internet using any methods outlined in Chapter 7 Getting

Connected.

Tap anywhere on the MSN Messenger screen, enter your sign-in name and

password, then tap Sign in.

Or tap Tools → Options → Accounts tab to set your sign-in name and

password by selecting Enable MSN Messenger Service.
