Understanding User Interfaces
Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extenders are accessible through two primary user interfaces: an
on-board web server that allows browser-based configuration and system monitoring and a front
panel display that provides push-button access to system status and initial network configuration.

Browser-based configuration

Browser-based configuration is available for both MPX1000 transmitters and receivers. The web
interface provides access to the following functions:
Configure system settings
Configure network settings
Display hardware and firmware version
Display connection status and signal strength
Update firmware
Reboot system
Reset to factory defaults
Change password

Front panel display

The front panel of the transmitter has a 5-button menu display that provides access to the
following functions:
View receiver connection status, including signal strength and frame rate. Single receiver and
multi-receiver scan modes are supported.
View receiver configuration, including receiver name and MAC address. Single receiver and
multi-receiver scan modes are supported.
View transmitter configuration, including IP (L1) and MAC address.
Configure transmitter IP settings (L1).
