I can’t connect to the Internet wirelessly.
If you are unable to conn ect to the Interne t from a wireles s computer,
please check the follow ing items:
1. Look at the light s on your Router. If you’re using a Belkin Ro uter, the
lights should be as fol lows:
• The “router” LED should be on.
• The “modem” light shoul d be on, and not b linking.
• The “internet” LED sho uld be on, and not blinking.
• The “Wireless” light s hould be on, not b linking.
2. Open your wireless utility softwa re by clicking on the icon in the
system tray at the bottom , right-hand corne r of the screen.
3. The exact window that opens will vary depending on the model of
wireless card you have; h owever, any of the utilitie s should have a lis t
of “Available Networks”—those wirele ss networks it ca n connect to.

If the name of your netwo rk is listed in th e “Available Networks” l ist,
please follow the steps below to connect w irelessly:
1. Click on the cor rect network nam e in the “Available Net works” list.
2. If the network has security (encr yption) enabled, yo u will need to ent er
the network key. For more info rmation regardi ng security, see th e
section entitled “Chan ging the Wireles s Security Set tings”.
3. Within a few second s, the tray icon in the lower, left-hand c orner of
your screen should tur n green, indicati on of a successf ul connection
to the network.
I can’t connect to the Internet wirelessly, and my network name is
not listed.
If the correct networ k name is not liste d under “Available Net works” in
the wireless utility, ple ase attempt the f ollowing troublesh ooting steps:
1. Temporarily move comp uter, if possible, fi ve to 10 feet from the
Router. Close the wireless utility, and reopen it. If the corre ct network
name now appears unde r “Available Networks”, you m ay have a
range or interferenc e problem. Please see the suggest ions discussed
in the section titled “ Placement of your N1 Wireless Router ” of this
User Manual.
2. Using a computer th at is connected to the Router via a n etwork cable
(as opposed to wireles sly), ensure that “ Broadcast SSID” i s enabled.
This setting is found on the Router’s wirel ess “Channel and SSID”
configuration page.
