Router is on, and the “internet” led is blinking.
1. If you cannot con nect to the Intern et, the “modem” LED is on, and the
“internet” LED is blink ing, the problem m ay be that your con nection
type may not match the I SP’s connection.
2. If you have a “static I P address” conne ction, your ISP mus t assign you
the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway a ddress. Please r efer to the
section entitled “Alterna te Setup Method” fo r details on chan ging this
setting.
3. If you have a “PPPoE” conn ection, your ISP w ill assign you a u ser
name and password and sometimes a ser vice name. Make su re the
Router’s connection typ e is configured to PPPoE and the sett ings are
entered properly. Please refer to the secti on entitled “Alterna te Setup
Method” for details on changing this set ting.
4. You may need to configur e your Router to me et the specific
requirements of your IS P. To search our knowledge ba se for ISP-
specific issues, go to: http://web.belkin.com/support and type in “ISP”.
If you are still unable to access the Inter net after verif ying these sett ings,
please contact Belkin Technical Support .

1. If the “modem” LED is blinking, and the “internet” LED is solid, but
you are unable to acces s the Internet, th ere may be third-p arty firewall
software installed o n the computer at tempting to acces s the Internet.
Examples of third-par ty firewall sof tware are ZoneA larm, BlackICE PC
Protection, McAfee Pers onal Firewall, and N orton Personal Firewall.
2. If you do have firewall software insta lled on your compu ter, please
make sure that you prope rly configure it. You can determine if the
firewall software is p reventing Internet access by tempora rily turning it
off. If, while the firewall is disabled, Inter net access works properly, you
will need to change the firewall settings to function prop erly when it is
turned on.
3. Please refer to the i nstructions prov ided by the publish er of your
firewall software for instructions on c onfiguring the f irewall to allow
Internet access.
