Highlight, cut, copy, or paste text

1.Do one of the following:

• On the slide-out keyboard, press and hold the key. To highlight text character by character, on the trackpad, slide your finger left or right. To highlight text line by line, on the trackpad, slide your finger up or down.

•On the touch screen keyboard, to highlight the text, touch the beginning and the end of the text. To adjust the highlighted text, slide the cursor frame.

2.Press the key.

3.Click Cut or Copy.

4.Place the cursor where you want to insert the cut or copied text.

5.Press the key > Paste.

Type a symbol

Do any of the following:

•If you're using the slide-out keyboard, press the key. Type the letter that appears below the symbol.

•If you're using the full keyboard on the touch screen, tap the key. Tap the key. Tap the symbol.

•If you're using the reduced keyboard on the touch screen with SureType technology turned on, tap the key. If

necessary, to see more symbols, continue tapping through the keys		,	, and	, until you find the
symbol. Tap the symbol.
• If you're using the reduced keyboard on the touch screen with multi-tap turned on, tap the				key. If necessary, to
see more symbols, continue tapping through the keys	,	, and	, until you find the symbol. Tap the
symbol.

Type a special character or letter with an accent

Do any of the following:

•If you're using the slide-out keyboard, press and hold a letter key and, on the trackpad, slide your finger left or right until the special character or the letter with an accent appears.

•If you're using the touch screen keyboard, press and hold a letter key. In the pop-up menu that appears, tap the special character or the letter with an accent.
