•InthePort field, the SRP Port, configured during the
firewall configuration process, is set to 3101, a nd is
typically not changed. This is an outbound-initiated
connection.Click Next to continue.
9. During your initial installation, click Test Connection.The
setupprogram will perform a test to ensure that the server can
connectto SRP Host.
Ifthe test is s uccessful, messages will confirm your connection.
Fromthe DOS prompt, press Enter to continue. Click OK to
closethe message and continue the installation.
Ifthe test is not successful, you will see an error message. Note
theerror code, and press Enter. Click OK in the dialog box to
closethe error message.
10. Inthe SRP Authentication section, enter the SRP Identifier and
AuthenticationKey obtained from the label on the installation
Note Atransparent proxy does NOT modify requests or
responsesthrough the proxy during proxy aut hentication
andidentification, whereas a non-transparent pro xy (where
theclient specifies the hostname and port number of the
proxy)IS used to modify requests or responses through the
proxy.If you have a non-transparent proxy, the BlackBerry
EnterpriseServer can be configured to access an internal
proxyaddress which is then translated externally to the
SRPHost on port 3101.
Note Ifthe SRP test is not successful, you will have to stop the
installationand correct the reason for the failure before you
canrestart the installation. See the “Resolving Connection
Errors”section of this guide for a list of common errors and
suggestionsfor their resolution.
