1. Copy bbsrptest.exe to the machine that is runningBlackBerry
EnterpriseServer.
2. Open a command prompt and run the program with one
additional parameter: bbsrptest srphostname. (Refer to your
Installation CheckList on page 11, under “SRP Host” for your
hostname information.) The utility willread the settings from
theregis try and attempt to connect to the SRP host server.
Whatyou should see is:
•Attempting to connect to srp host (IP Address), port 3101
Successful
wheresrp host andIP Addr ess areindicated in italics because the
valuesare variable; see the label on your installation CD for the
correctSRP Host value and IP Address.
Youmay see one of the following messages instead:
•gethostbyname( ) failed for name srp host error code =
11001
This message indicates a configuration problem on your
machine, as it is unable to look up the SRP host server's
name. Error 11001 means name not found.
•connect() failed: error code = 10060
This message indicates that the connection requestis not
being answered, or that the firewall “lost”the connection
request. Error 10060 means a timeout.
•connect() failed: error code = 10061
This message indicates that the connection was refused;
either the SRP host server is not running or the firewall
preventedthe connection from going through. Error 10061
meansthat the connection was refused.
•recv(): connection lost
