Enabling and disabling a handheld
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server lets you disable or enable a
handheld without actually removing that user from the server. You
maywant to use this function if, for example, a user is traveling out
ofcoverage for an extended period and does not want any messages
forwarded to the handheld duringthat time. Instead of removing
the user from the server, you can disablethat particular handheld
whilethe user is out of coverage and enable the handheld when the
user returns to an area with coverage.

Toenable a handheld

1. In the BESAdmin window, select the BlackBerry Enterprise
Serverwhere the user is enabled.
2. Select the user. Click Enable User to activate the user’s
handheld for email redirection.
3. You will be asked for confirmation. Click Yes. The Enabled
columnfor the user changesfrom No to Yes.
