If your firewall has been configured to proxy connections on port 3101 to srp host, try using the proxy to connect. To do this you must know the internal IP address of the firewall or the proxy server through which you are trying to send the request. For example, if the IP address of the firewall/proxy server is 192.168.0.1, you would type:

bbsrptest 192.168.0.1

The program will try to connect to srp host. You should see the following response:

“Attempting to connect to 192.168.0.1 (192.168.0.1), port 3101” “Sending test packet”

“Waiting for response” “Receiving response” “Checking response” “Successful”

Once you receive the “Successful” message, you are ready to begin your installation.

Error code 10061

Error code 10061 generates this message: “connect() failed: error code = 10061”

Error code 10061 indicates that the connection was refused. Either the SRP server is not running, or more likely, the firewall prevented the connection from being completed.

To resolve this error, check with your firewall administrator to ensure that an outbound connection from the machine you are using to srp host on port 3101 is allowed.

Connection lost

The “connection lost” error generates this message: “recv(): connection lost.”
